Me on (4-1-08)Well, here it is just as promised, my first posting on my quest to lose weight and get my fat ass in shape. I just weighed and the scale is showing 229.4 pounds. I believe my scale is pretty accurate. I was actually supposed to start this yesterday, (3-31-08), but I'm just lazy. That's another one of my problems. I've also got a couple of pictures to go along with this post. As you might imagine after looking at the photos, it isn't exactly easy (or probably sane) posting these online, but I thought possibly the public humiliation might be a motivator in helping me to lose.

I plan on posting photos every week, hopefully to the day. However, I do plan on posting more often, just to keep a record of my diet habits, exercise, etc.

Well, I hope you're not getting ready to eat...here are the pictures.

Man Boobs :(

Oh, I'm going to keep a record of what I've eaten for the day. So far today, I've had a McSkillet Burrito (I know, not exactly healthy diet food), and also a bowl of oatmeal. I'll probably just eat a frozen entre' thing for dinner, probably about 250 calories, or thereabouts. Also, I've been drinking coffee pretty much around the clock, and I'm out of sugar and sweetner, so I've been putting maple syrup in it instead. As much as I use, that's gotta add a few hundred calories a day. I'll have to get some more Splenda pronto.

Total Gym 1700 Club

These are awesome machines. I have one, but I have a different model. Mine doesn't have all the features of this one. There's no need to have free weights or anything else for a complete workout, and they fold up nicely also. They're better, and cheaper than a Bow Flex. They're especially good if you're in 'less than good shape', by varying incline angle, you can start off with a very low resistance workout routine.

Chuck Norris wouldn't steer you in the wrong direction (he endorses them, in case you haven't seen the infomercials), plus, my name is Jeff Norris, so you know you can't go wrong. Uncle Chuck and I both recommend the Total Gym. :D
